SUMMARY:Day of the Dead Community Celebration
LOCATION:Princeton Shopping Center\, 301 N Harrison Street\, Princeton
DESCRIPTION:Time: 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM\n\nCelebrating El Día de Los Muertos\,
or Day of the Dead\, has been an Arts Council tradition for over 20 year
s!\n\nObserved in Mexico and throughout the world in early November\, the
holiday is a time for family and friends to remember loved ones who have
passed. Traditions include parades and the construction of private altar
s using sugar skulls\, marigolds\, and favorite foods in memory of those
we’ve lost.\n\nWe invite you to learn about this culturally rich holiday
by joining us for a free\, family-friendly festival. We’ll create crafts
inspired by traditional Mexican folk art\, decorate sugar skulls\, enjoy
live music\, create a community altar\, and more!\n\nThank you to the Pri
nceton Shopping Center for sponsoring this event.\n\nBe a part of our com
munity altar:\n\nShare a photo of someone special\, and we’ll include it
in a collage wrapping around the altar – just like the example shown abov
 e. Deadline for submissions is October 20.\n\nsubmit a photo\n\nMore info
